The Chair is normally reckoned to be the most difficult piece of furniture to design and make. Everything is on show; stresses induced by leaning back on the rear legs must be resisted and there can be no limit on how heavy the sitter is! At the same time most people want slim legs and rails and an elegant appearance. I will leave it up to you to judge the extent to which my designs succeed.
